jay mohr drops 10 large on a painted nintendo ds

Cellphone customization has been increasingly popular amongst the celeb set... Looks like it's catching on for portable gaming devices too. At a charity auction at Sundance, Jay Mohr just
paid $10,000 for a Nintendo DS with a swirly blue metallic finish
-- Alan Cumming (who hosted the webby awards a few years ago) got one for $1,000 and the green one went for $2,500 to Poppy Montgomery.. Interesting tidbit about Poppy.. her birth name was "Poppy Petal Emma Elizabeth Deveraux Donahue". Whoowee.. quite a mouthful.. now if only I'd heard of her before.. but she sure is kinda cute. Anyway.. thanks to the folks at MeFi who found this story for us at Engadget...
